Biography

Kenny Kamz, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native, has emerged as a prolific artist with a deep commitment to storytelling and community. Over the past three years, Kenny has released over 60 songs, including five albums and EPs, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.

Before music, Kenny was a standout athlete at Riverside High School, a public institution renowned for producing individuals excelling across various industries. Kenny’s journey into music began during his junior year, recording tracks in his childhood friend’s room using an 8-track recorder.

Kenny attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, majoring in Sociology to further his passion for learning and contributing to his community. While playing football for the university, a series of injuries sidelined his athletic career. During recovery, Kenny discovered FL Studio and began teaching himself music production. His debut album, Preseason, created with a teammate, received praise within the college community and marked the beginning of his musical journey.

After graduating, Kenny worked with several local nonprofit organizations, focusing on empowering at-risk youth. He later transitioned into coaching college football at institutions like UW-Stevens Point, Carroll University, and Loras College. Despite success in coaching, Kenny ultimately decided to pursue music full-time, navigating financial challenges while developing his skills as a producer and artist.

In 2021, following a significant heartbreak, Kenny began releasing more music, refining his production and audio engineering talents. His album As It Was, an ode to the life he felt he had lost, resonated deeply with listeners. The success of the album motivated him to continue exploring his artistry, leading to subsequent releases like The Feels and As It Is. These works reflect a full-circle moment in Kenny’s personal growth, showcasing his ability to transform pain into art and heal through music.

Today, Kenny remains a proud independent artist, valuing creative control and authenticity. Beyond music, he dedicates his time to mentoring youth, particularly in Milwaukee's underserved communities, where he leverages his experience in athletics and the arts to inspire the next generation. Kenny’s music is not just a personal expression but a testament to resilience, self-reliance, and the power of community.
